About Great Actress Sandra Bullock
![]() | Birth Name
Sandra Annette Bullock Nickname Sandy America's Sweetheart The Girl Next Door Height 5' 7½" (1.71 m) Biography Sandra Bullock was born in a Virginia suburb of Washington, DC, to voice teacher John Bullock (b. 1925) and opera singer Helga Meyer (1942-2000). She grew up on the road with her parents and younger sister. She often performed in the children's chorus of whatever production her mother was in. That singing talent later came in handy for her role as an aspiring country singer in The Thing Called Love (1993). Her family moved back to the Washington area when she was a teenager. She later enrolled in East Carolina University in North Carolina, where she studied acting. Shortly afterward she moved to New York to pursue a career on the stage. This led to acting in television programs and then feature films. She gave memorable performances in Demolition Man (1993) and Wrestling Ernest Hemingway (1993), but did not achieve the stardom that seemed inevitable for her until her work in the smash hit Speed (1994/I). She now ranks as one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood. |
Sandra Bullock Movies And The Big News
There are many good motion pictures that one can pick from a Sandra Bullock Movie list. Sandra Bullock is an academy award winning film actress from Hollywood. She bagged this famous award in 2009. She has been entertaining her audience for decades now with many top movies such as Speed, The Proposal, Love Potion No. 9 etc. The movie that helped her win the Oscar, a highly desired award in the Hollywood movie business, is “The Blind Side.” This is a very good drama movie and extremely well made. All the crew and cats have done an excellent job. And of course, Sandra Bullock is simply amazing. What an acting? The movie is certainly heartwarming and the story is touching. Lots of her films are in the genre of romantic comedy, such as The Proposal, Miss Congeniality, Love Potion No. 9, etc. In 2002, she acted in a film called “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.”
Recently the big news hit that a hole in Clint Eastwood’s directing schedule was going to lead him into coming out of acting retirement and allow him to star in a new movie called Trouble With the Curve. The story centers on a baseball scout who is losing his sight and getting too old for his job and who embarks on a final road trip/scouting mission with his adult daughter. Apparently, she’s there to help him scout a hot young prospect, but I’m willing to bet some daddy/daughter bonding is going to go on as well. Just call it a hunch.
Reports were going around soon after the film was announced that Sandra Bullock was in negotiations to play the daughter, but those negotiations must not have gone too well, because she never signed, and now Variety is reporting that Amy Adams has been offered the role instead.
Apparently Bullock’s schedule was too full to fit the movie in, so Warner Bros. is hoping that Adams will be more flexible. I think this is a good move for the studio all around. Adams isn’t as big of a name as Bullock, but that means she will probably come cheaper. And, also, she comes with the added perk of being so much better than Sandra Bullock.
I’ve always always been a much bigger fan of Clint Eastwood the actor than I have been of Clint Eastwood the director, so hopefully Adams is able to fit this one in and the project starts to move forward. I’d hate for this project to take too long spinning its wheels and make Eastwood pass on it to direct another sappy biopic or boring period piece. I want this guy in front of the camera, growling and looking like a pissed-off piece of man-jerky. Maybe this one can get him re-bit by the acting bug.
